These guidelines outline Hurupay’s internal compliance standards for receiving USD transfers, verifying user identities, and managing risk. They are based on Hurupay’s operational rules and informed by regulatory best practices.
1. Name Matching for Bank Transfers
Hurupay enforces strict name verification on incoming USD transfers to prevent fraud and unauthorized access.
Wire Transfers:
The bank-beneficiary-name (as found in the metadata of the transfer) must exactly match the name registered in the user’s payment method.
Any mismatch results in an automatic hold and compliance review.
ACH Transfers:
Partial matches between the bank-beneficiary-name and the payment method name are accepted, but may require further review.
Users may be required to submit proof of account ownership (e.g., a bank statement or voided check).
